Class Program:
Our class program is a combination of crops, designer classes, manufacturer classes & book club.

Crops:
most often held on Fridays , although there are some over nighters planned & Saturdays.

Friday Flings are 6 hrs for $10, or $14 with the food option.   Bring a friend & have some fun!  

 Getting Started
Want to start recording those precious family memories before you forget? Get those pictures out of their boxes or off the CD’s? join us for an introduction to scrapbooking & more information on SDU. You’ll see examples of scrapbook pages, demos & get to use some tools, hear about other classes & have your questions answered. Check stores for dates. $5 deposit holds your spot & is applied towards purchases made the night of class.  (no cash back)

SDU: Scrapbook Design & You Is a unique, exciting educational program designed to teach scrapbook theories & principles to individuals from beginner through advanced levels. There are a total of 10 classes . Only $99 when you sign up for the full course. That’s a free class & binder too. Copics I Class: Instructor Sandi Sberna:   $24.00   3/11 @ Beechmont   New

 Class work is based on a 16 page booklet, for each student to work in and keep to take home for future reference, to teach and demonstrate various techniques for using the Copic Markers.  Lessons and techniques such as skin tones, hair tones, jean techniques, and much more are covered, such as how to make an animal look “fuzzy”.  Also use of the “0 Blender” Marker is covered.

Copics II Class, Instructor Sandi Sberna   New

 Class work is based on a 10 page booklet, expanding upon lessons learned in the Copic I Class and instruction on some advanced techniques.  Techniques coordinating other materials are covered as well during this class.  In addition to these lessons, everyone will have the opportunity to learn on an airbrush system, involving techniques using stamps and spellbinders.  

 

Letters & Lines by published pen enthusiast, Susan Houseman

"Letters & Lines",  each student will make and take a card with them.  They should bring regular classes supplies as well as, pens, watercolor pencils.  The cost of the class will be $16.00. 

Bling It On with our own talented Kim Krist:   New

Come play!  Learn how to turn plain paper into layered works of art, using Tattered Angels, glimmer mist & screens, Bazzill jewels & templates & versa dazzle.  This is a technique intensive class.  Includes 2 2 page spreads (4 pages).  $30.  Bring basic tool kits & supplies.

CRICUT Crazy :  

Expression 101- This class is taught using the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge and teaches you what to do with all those buttons.  You will complete six scrapbook pages that will help you complete the scrapbook page of your dreams.  A three ring binder complete with colored pictures and also all the cardstock needed to complete the exercises.  Class fee:  $50.00   Class time:  9:30-3:30 (lunch break 12:30-1:30)
 
Expression 102-  This class takes you a step further into the wonderful world of Cricut.  You will learn how to use the Cricut colors (markers), make a template from vellum to be able to cut pictures into shapes, make tags and much more.  Class notes are in plastic sleeves ready to put in the notebook you received in Expression 101.  Class fee: $50.00   Class time: 10:00-4:00 (lunch break 12:30-1:30)
 
Original or Cricut Create 101-  For the Original cricut you will need the George cartridge and for the Create we will be using Don Juan.  You will complete six exercises that will teach you how to navigate around a cartridge and what the buttons are for.  You will receive a three ring binder with colored pictures plus pages to mount your cut outs onto.  This book will be used for a reference to help create the layout of your dreams.

 

Class Fee:  $35.00  Class time: 9:30-12:30

 

 
Cricut Create102- This class is taught with the Expression 102 format.  The main difference in the two classes is the size of the finished image.  The Create has 5 of the 12 extra buttons just like the Expression. Class fee: $50.00  Class time:  10:00-4:00 (lunch break 12:30-1:30)
 
Gypsy 101- This is a brand new class with 45 pages of notes in a spiral notebook.  You should bring your cricut too so you can cut out the exercises to put into your notebook.  You need to have the latest version of the Gypsy installed on your Gypsy plus update your cricut before class.  If you do not know how to do this please come 10 minutes early so we can help you.  Class fee: $30   Class Time: 4:00-6:30
You may borrow a Gypsy to "test drive" one to see if you want to purchase the Gypsy. If you are taking any one of the other classes on Jan. 9th, the Gypsy 101 class will be $10 off ($20 class fee).

  • Create 102 students will borrow the Plantin Schoolbook Cartridge from Pat to complete the exercises

GYPSY 101

 

  • Gypsy loaded with latest version of software.  Gypsy must be registered with Provo Craft over the internet.
  • Your model of Cricut.  Thanks for updating your cricut with your Gypsy before class.  If you do not know how to do this then please come to class ten minutes early to have us help you.
  • Supplies listed for the 101 classes so you can put your images into your notebook in class.
  • We have one extra gypsy if someone would like to take the class to “test drive” the machine but you must request it at the time you sign up.

Card Crazy: once a month stop in to make cards with us.  4 different styles to choose from, designed by our cute Scraps staff.  Set-up in stations in the work room, make as many cards as you like for only $1.99 each.  It's great to have homemade cards on hand to give as gifts.    Bring adhesive.  Come early for best selection.  While supplies last.  (check calendars for times & locations)

Disney 8x8:  Whether you are planning a trip to Disney or are longing to scrap those Disney memories from the past, this Mickey & friends class is a sure way to get you Magical Memories into an album.  Create 10 8x8 scrapbook pages with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto & Donald.  You also receive an idea book with never before published memory ideas, all in an 8x8 format.  (Disney collector pin included)  $32

 Selling kits: Kits may be available to buy after classes. Ask about extra Bazzill card kit & Chatterbox classes that are for sell now :)

 Class cancellation: is 72 hours notice to receive credit to another class. (except SDU) This allows teachers enough time to prepare & or fill the spot. If we cancel the class, you’re money is gladly refunded. Without notice , your fees are forfeited. If notice is after the 72 hr, a kit may be provided, but an extra fee may apply.

Payment is required at sign-up. You can pay in person or reserve a seat with a credit card over the phone. No babies, please, this is for the enjoyment of others. There are no “guests” in classes or crops, all attending, including kids, must pay their own fee.

What to bring
The following needs to be brought to class each time:
